Yes, I do sometimes think of myself as lazy. Not specifically about fitness and exercise, though. Growing up, my family often had the attitude of “it’s OK to put it off till later.“ As a result, it was a struggle for me to learn good work habits. The kind of work ethic that other people seemed to come to naturally I had to learn from my friends and roommates and coworkers rather than from my parents. They were not slackers in all respects, neither was I. But there are certain activities I tend to put off doing. Housework in particular. I hate the concept of laziness. Hope

Good points, Dr. Abramson.

When I don't feel like exercising, I often remember the following:

Sir Isaac Newton famously said, "A body (an object) at rest stays at rest."

But once you 'act' and get your body moving, then you get the second half of Sir Isaac's 1st Law: "A body in motion remains in motion..."

So often it is, once you get started with exercise/movement, well, you just keep going!

"If you’re not too lazy to get up in the middle of the night, or too lazy to go to work when you haven’t slept, why do you think you’re too lazy when it comes to exercise?"

This is an awesome perspective-shifting question right here! Your point about doing activities you enjoy to be active is also fantastic!
